1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 [Stockton, CA]
One Unidentified Victim Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Highway 4
STOCKTON, CA (December 12, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one victim was killed in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 5.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene just before 4:00 a.m., near Highway 4 on November 26th.
First responders arrived to the northbound lanes and located a pedestrian down on the road.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the area.
Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. No identity was released as of this time.
Furthermore, while the troopers were assisting in the first incident, a vehicle crashed into a CHP unit. However, no one was injured in the second collision.
Traffic was diverted to Highway 4 while the crews cleared the scene. All lanes have since been reopened, and the crash remains under investigation. Once available, more details will be provided.
