Teen Dead, Driver Arrested after Stolen-Car Accident on South De Anza Boulevard [Santa Clara County, CA]
Male Passenger Fatally Injured in Pursuit Collision near Steven’s Creek Boulevard
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (December 11, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, a teenager was killed in a stolen-car accident on South De Anza Boulevard.
Deputies responded to the scene around 3:07 a.m., near Steven’s Creek Boulevard.
The incident began when officers noticed the white Hyundai Elantra that was unreported and stolen.
After police attempted to pull over the vehicle, the driver sped away resulting in a short pursuit.
The Elantra then crashed into a tree in the area of Saratoga Los Gatos Road and Via Colina in Saratoga.
First responders declared the teenage male passenger from the stolen vehicle dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the male driver and the two female passengers were rushed to local hospitals.
Investigators claimed that all four occupants of the Hyundai were juveniles. Officials booked the driver into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for multiple charges upon his release from the hospital.
At this time, the Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist is leading the investigation into the fatal stolen-car accident on South De Anza Boulevard.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased passenger once available.
