64-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash in Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 11, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Ronald Duncan was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Rondel Place.

Dispatchers received calls around 2:43 a.m., just west of the 16th Street BART Station in Mission District.

First responders located the male victim down on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. However, further circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. 

Paramedics rushed the male pedestrian to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as 64-year-old Duncan.

San Francisco Officials will provide more information about the deadly Rondel Place pedestrian accident once available.
