Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash on Candelaria Road [Albuquerque, NM]
One Unidentified Victim Killed in Rear-End Motorcycle Collision near San Mateo Boulevard
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (December 11, 2024) – Wednesday morning, one rider was pronounced dead after a motorcycle crash on Candelaria Road.
The Albuquerque Police Department responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., near San Mateo Boulevard on November 6th.
Investigators say the driver of a northbound Infiniti Q60 rear-ended a Vespa Primavera. Reports indicate that the rider was merging from a gas station parking lot onto the road at the time.
The impact caused the rider to sustained critical injuries.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Although, officers have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal motorcycle crash on Candelaria Road.
