1 Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on 118 Freeway [Los Angeles, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Glenoaks Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 11, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on 118 Freeway.
Police officers responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway around 7:50 p.m., near Glenoaks Boulevard.
At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area.
Upon arrival, responding crews located the severely injured victim down on the freeway lanes. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
In the end, California Highway Patrol officers issued a SigAlert on the rightmost lanes of 118 Freeway for four hours as crews cleared the scene.
