3 Riders Pronounced Dead after DUI Collision near Tombstone

TUCSON, AZ (December 9, 2024) – Sunday night, Anthony Davis, Bennie Dansby, and James Samuel were killed in a DUI accident on State Route 80.

Around 6:00 p.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Tombstone and St. David on November 24th.

Arizona officers say the driver of an eastbound red Infiniti SUV crossed the center line and crashed into three motorcyclists.

Due to the impact of the collision, the riders suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 37-year-old Davis, 40-year-old Dansby dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported 55-year-old Samuel to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Troopers later evaluated the 41-year-old male Infiniti driver from Huachuca, who was determined to be impaired. At this time, charges against him are pending, and authorities have not released any further updates.
