Rider Dies in Motorcycle Collision on 710 Freeway [Bell Gardens, CA]
One Unidentified Rider Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Accident near Clara Street
BELL GARDEN, CA (December 5, 2024) – Early Thursday night, one rider was fatally struck in a motorcycle collision on 710 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound lanes of the freeway around 5:20 p.m., near Clara Street.
Investigators say a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a 2020 Infiniti QX60 collided in the area, trapping the rider underneath the vehicle. In addition, a 2017 Toyota Corolla became involved.
Responding medical personnel transported the rider to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. It was unclear whether the occupants of the other two vehicles were harmed in the crash.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Bell Gardens Officials will provide more information regarding the fatal 710 Freeway three-vehicle crash once available.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
