One Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Sterling Street

VALLEJO, CA (December 5, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a three-vehicle crash on Ascot Parkway killed one person and left three others hurt.

Police officers responded to the scene around 4:46 p.m., at the intersection of Ascot Parkway and Sterling Street.

Investigators say a northbound gray 2004 Toyota Solara crossed the center median for reasons unknown.

As a result, the Solara collided with a white 2009 Chevrolet Traverse that was heading south on Ascot Parkway. The impact also pushed the Traverse into a nearby blue 1992 Nissan Sentra also going in the same direction.

Responding EMTs rushed one passenger from inside the Toyota to a nearby hospital where they later died from their injuries.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the Toyota driver, and two occupants from the Chevy to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The three occupants inside the Sentra declined further medical assessment and were released at the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information about the deadly three-vehicle crash to call Sergeant L. Alamon at (707) 648-4329. The Solano County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased victim once available.
