19-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Fiery Rollover Collision near Elm Avenue

FRESNO, CA (December 4, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Tristin Castro was killed in a fiery rollover crash on North Avenue.

The Fresno Police Department responded to the scene near Elm Avenue around 2:30 a.m., on November 30th.

Investigators say Castro was driving a Camaro west and veered off the curb before overturning and crashing into a bus stop. The Camaro then became engulfed in flames, causing serious injuries to all occupants.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 19-year-old Castro, of Fresno dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported his two passengers to Community Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

At this time, it was not confirmed if alcohol or drugs played a role, and the Collision Reconstruction Unit is handling further investigation.
