Man and Woman Hospitalized after Solo-Vehicle Crash near Windham Street

SANTA CRUZ, CA (December 4, 2024) Todd Carter was arrested Tuesday afternoon, and his passenger was hurt in a DUI crash on Seabright Avenue.

Police officers responded to the scene around 2:00 p.m., near Windham Street.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a car accelerated into a nearby tree causing serious injuries to both occupants. 

Responding paramedics rushed both patients to a nearby hospital in critical condition. 

Authorities later arrested the driver, identified as Todd Carter for felony DUI, according to the Santa Cruz police spokesperson.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Santa Cruz Officials will provide more information about the Seabright Avenue DUI crash once the investigation has concluded.
