Man Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Collision near Northeast 117th Avenue
VANCOUVER, WA (December 4, 2024) – Thursday night, one man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard.
Police officers responded to the scene around 6:20 p.m., near Northeast 117th Avenue on November 21st.
Investigators say the driver of a truck hit a male pedestrian who was walking within a marked crosswalk, against a red-light.
First responders located the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries upon arrival. Paramedics quickly transported the severely injured victim to a nearby hospital where he later passed away. Authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding roadway for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Meanwhile, the truck driver was evaluated and showed no signs of impairment.
