31-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Redondo Avenue
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (December 4, 2024) – Thursday, Ariel Garcia died and Roger Bilbrey was arrested after a head-on accident on Interstate 20.
Police officers received calls on November 21st, near Redondo Avenue just before 7:00 a.m.
Authorities say Bilbrey was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra west when he veered into oncoming lanes and collided head-on with an eastbound 2013 Kia OLX, driven by Garcia.
Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced 31-year-old Garcia deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported 62-year-old Bilbrey to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say that both Bilbrey and Garcia were wearing their seatbelts at that time. No other information was added and the crash remains under investigation.
