34-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near 7th Street
LONG BEACH, CA (December 3, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Lauren Sjoblom was fatally struck by a transit bus on Shoreline Drive.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:55 p.m., near 7th Street.
Reports indicate that the driver of a northbound Long Beach Transit Bus struck a woman on the roadway. The driver then immediately pulled over and contacted emergency services.
Despite life-saving efforts of the Long Beach Fire Department personnel, the female pedestrian died at the scene. The bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased female victim as 34-year-old Lauren Sjoblom.
