Male Suspect Killed, 3 Injured in Head-On Crash on Crows Landing Road [Modesto, CA]
40-Year-Old Man Dead, 3 Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision near 7th Street
MODESTO, CA (December 2, 2024) – Monday afternoon, one man died and three others were injured in a head-on crash on Crows Landing Road.
Deputies attempted to pull over a suspect who was wanted for several domestic violence charges around 3:30 p.m., near Boulder Avenue.
As police approached the suspect, the 40-year-old man sped off northbound.
Investigators said the fleeing driver crossed the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming vehicle at 7th Street.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, deputies pronounced the suspect deceased at the scene. The three others inside the second vehicle – a man, woman, and boy – were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
