17-Year-Old Driver Killed, 3 Injured in High-Speed Car Accident near Riverside Drive

EL PASO, TX (November 27, 2024) – Monday, Saul Bustillos died and Lorena Bustillos, Aldo Bustillos and Uriel Ramirez were hurt in a crash.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Riverside Drive around 3:30 a.m., on November 18th.

Investigators say 17-year-old Saul was driving a red 2017 Chevrolet Cruze at high speeds in the eastbound lanes. As a result, Saul lost control of the Chevy and veered off the road before crashing into a traffic pole.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced Saul deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported his passengers, 19-year-old Lorena, 20-year-old Aldo, and 16-year-old Uriel to a nearby hospital for further treatment of serious injuries.

Also, troopers blocked the intersection in both directions while they cleared the scene. All lanes have been reopened by 7:45 a.m.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
