Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision on Watt Avenue [Sacramento, CA]
Man on Wheelchair Fatally Injured in Pedestrian vs Car Collision near Roseville Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 27, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, one man was pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision on Watt Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls just north of Roseville Road around 5:29 a.m., in North Highlands.
Based on the initial investigation, the male driver of a southbound vehicle struck a man in a wheelchair who in the middle of the roadway.
Paramedics arrived and took the man to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the victim dead at the hospital.
Following preliminary duties, officers described the victim as a man in his late 20s.
At this time, it was unclear as to why the pedestrian was in the middle of the road at the time. Sacramento Officials will provide the identity of the deceased victim once available.
Police said the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
