Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Jamacha Boulevard [Spring Valley, CA]
70-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in SUV vs Pedestrian Collision near Pointe Parkway
SPRING VALLEY, CA (November 27, 2024) – Tuesday night, one man was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Jamacha Boulevard.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m., near Pointe Parkway just east of La Presa.
Investigators say the driver of a westbound dark-colored Chevrolet Traverse was traveling through a green light and struck a man who was crossing the road.
After hitting the male pedestrian, the driver made a U-turn and fled the scene without contacting authorities.
Responding emergency personnel declared the 70-year-old man on a walker dead at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed to the public, awaiting notification from the next of kin.
At this time, police are searching for the SUV with possible windshield and driver-side-mirror damage. The SUV was also spotted leaving the scene with sparks flying from underneath the vehicle.
