21-Year-Old Pregnant Woman Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Collision near Tracy Boulevard
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (November 27, 2024) – Saturday morning, Katharina Heibert Janzen was killed in a solo-car collision on Highway 4.
California Highway Patrol officers received reports shortly before 5:15 a.m., near Tracy Boulevard and Whiskey Slough Road.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle veered off the road and into a nearby body of water on the north side of the road. The driver was able to extricate themselves from the submerged vehicle and flag down emergency personnel.
However, first responders declared the 21-year-old pregnant female passenger dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported from the incident.
Authorities later identified the deceased person as 21-year-old Janzen, from Stockton.
Following preliminary duties, officers do not suspect that drugs or alcohol played a factor.
