60-Year-Old San Diego Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Collision near Casey Glen Lane
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 27, 2024) – Friday evening, a bicycle accident on Camino Del Sur claimed the life of James Michael Osmus.
Dispatchers received calls around 6:47 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Casey Glen Lan in the Black Mountain Ranch area.
Per reports, the driver of a 2015 Volkswagen EOS coupé veered into the bake lane and hit a male bicyclist.
Police said the 50-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen exited her vehicle and attempted to render aid to the victim.
Responding medical personnel pronounced the male bicyclist dead at the scene. Authorities ruled out alcohol and drugs as a potential factor in the collision.
On Monday, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased man as 60-year-old Osmus, of San Diego.
