44-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Red-Light Pedestrian Collision near Main Street
MESA, AZ (November 27, 2024) – Friday night, Dustin Andersen was killed in a red-light pedestrian collision on 56th Street.
Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m., near Main Street on November 15th.
Reports indicate that Andersen crossed Main Street against a red light and outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a westbound vehicle traveling through a green light on Main Street struck him.
Emergency responders transported 44-year-old Andersen to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. They do not suspect impairment as a potential factor in the collision.
