Craig Miller, Craig Miller Jr., Laila Miller, and Fetus Killed in 2-Car Crash on King Boulevard Northwest [Rio Rancho, NM]
4 Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Sheba Drive Northwest
RIO RANCHO, NM (November 26, 2024) – Wednesday, Craig Miller, Craig Miller Jr., Laila Miller, and a fetus died in a crash on King Boulevard.
First responders arrived to the scene around 5:30 p.m., near Sheba Drive Northwest on November 13th.
The Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue found a Nissan Pathfinder and a Toyota Sequoia that collided on a dirt road near the intersection. Per reports, the collision also resulted in a fire.
Officers say the Nissan was occupied by a family of seven. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced multiple victims from inside the Nissan deceased.
Authorities later identified the deceased victims as 36-year-old Craig Miller, 6-year-old Craig Miller Jr., Laila Miller and an unborn child.
Paramedics also transported the mother, her two young sons and the driver of the other vehicle to a hospital for further treatment. Crews later identified the Toyota driver as Francisco Paredes, who remains in critical condition.
At this time, no other information was released and the Rio Rancho Police Department is handling further investigation.
