40-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Kurtz Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 25, 2024) – One woman died Wednesday night, in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Camino Del Rio West. 

First responders arrived to the 3700 block of Camino Del Rio West near 3000 Kurtz Street around 9:34 p.m.

Investigators say the driver of a dark-colored vehicle was traveling through a green light and struck a person who was walking north.

However, the driver did not stop and fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. 

Medical personnel declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. San Diego Officials only identified the deceased victim as a 40-year-old woman. 

At this time, police are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.
