55-Year-Old Orange Resident Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Harbor Boulevard
COSTA MESA, CA (November 21, 2024) – Late Tuesday night, Joel Navarro Hernandez was killed in a chain-reaction crash on 405 Freeway.
Dispatchers received calls shortly after 11:30 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway, just south of Harbor Boulevard.
California Highway Patrol officers say at least eight vehicles were involved. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
Responding medical personnel transported at least five patients to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Reports also indicated that one person succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department later identified the deceased victim as 55-year-old Hernandez, of Orange.
At this time, the CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash.
