31-Year-Old Female Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Collision near Highway 101

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (November 21, 2024) – Saturday morning, a bicycle accident on Holly Street claimed the life of Andrea Vallebueno.

Police officers arrived to the scene around 10:15 a.m., near the Highway 101 overpass on November 16th.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a bicyclist in the area. Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Paramedics quickly transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 31-year-old Vallebueno, of Palo Alto deceased.

No other information was released, and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
