Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Nacogdoches Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 20, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Loop 410.

San Antonio Police officers responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway around 5:30 a.m., near Nacogdoches Road.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the westbound lanes of traffic.

Upon arrival, first responders located the man on the ground with life-threatening injuries.

The involved driver then stopped to contact authorities and remained at the scene to cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, no charges were filed against the driver.

Eventually, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office did not release his identity as of this time.

Meanwhile, authorities blocked the highway between Harry Wurzbach Road and Nacogdoches Road while they cleared the scene and conducted further investigation.
