14-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision near East Manley Drive

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ (November 20, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, Gabriel Grande was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Viewpoint Drive.

Dispatchers received calls around 5:20 p.m., near East Manley Drive on November 12th.

Investigators say the driver of a truck hit a 14-year-old bicyclist on the side of Viewpoint Road as he was on his way home for dinner.

Medics arrived and airlifted the young boy to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities later identified the deceased victim as Grande.

Following preliminary duties, police officers arrested the truck driver. Crews are investigating whether speed or impairment contributed to the crash.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
