TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 20, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, two men were killed in a stop-sign collision on Lindmore Street.
Dispatchers received calls around 4:05 p.m., near Foothill Avenue and the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery.
Upon arrival, California Highway Patrol officers learned that a southbound white Chevrolet Silverado ran past a posted stop sign at a high rate of speed.
Consequently, the Silverado collided with a Kia that was traveling westbound on Lindmore Street, causing both vehicles to overturn.
Responding EMTs pronounced the two men inside the Kia dead at the scene. Their names remain undisclosed to the public.
Following the crash, the Silverado passenger fled the scene on foot. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the pickup driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries.
At this time, Tulare County detectives are working to determine the cause of the stop-sign collision on Lindmore Street and why the pickup truck’s passenger fled the scene.
