64-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Little York Road

HOUSTON, TX (November 18, 2024) – Early Friday morning, one man was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Hempstead Road.

Dispatchers received calls around 2:00 a.m., near Little York Road on October 11th.

The Houston Police Department reports that the driver of a red Dodge Ram pickup-truck struck a man who was attempting to cross the street.

Investigators say the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Upon arrival, first responders located the male pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of his condition, medics later pronounced him deceased.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man.

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian crash on Hempstead Road.
