Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on Bridge Street [Yuba City, CA]
72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Plumas Street
YUBA CITY, CA (November 18, 2024) – Monday evening, a pedestrian collision on Bridge Street left a man with fatal injuries.
Around 8:15 p.m., dispatchers received calls near Plumas Street.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered the male victim lying in the roadway with serious injuries. Paramedics quickly transported the man to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old man driving the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian remains unreleased to the public.
Investigators shut down the surrounding roadway for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Police do not suspect intoxication to be a factor in the incident.
