One Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Stone Boulevard
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (November 19, 2024) – Monday afternoon, one man died in a bicycle vs semi-truck collision on Industrial Boulevard.
Dispatchers received calls shortly after 2:30 p.m., at the intersection of Industrial Boulevard and Stone Street.
Per reports, a westbound bicyclist lost control and crashed in the No.2 lane of Industrial Boulevard. The cyclist landed in front of a passing semi-truck, resulting in a collision.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the male bicyclist deceased at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Authorities only described the deceased victim as a man in his early 20s.
Responding personnel shut down the surrounding roadway for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
