One Unidentified Victim Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Artcraft Road

EL PASO, TX (November 18, 2024) – Saturday morning, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on South Desert Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the 6500 block of South Desert Boulevard near Artcraft Road around 6:00 a.m., on October 20th.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area. It is unknown whether the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the involved pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, police officers have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Authorities are examining the crash and will inform the public of any new details as their investigation progresses.
