Woman Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Imperial Avenue Off-Ramp [San Diego, CA]
Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Suspected DUI Collision near Interstate 5
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 18, 2024) – Sunday evening, one woman was fatally injured in a pedestrian crash on the Imperial Avenue off-ramp.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 9:10 p.m., near southbound Interstate 5.
Based on the report, a Kia Soul collided with a cement barrier and went down an embankment, hitting a transformer. The collision caused the transformer to hit a female pedestrian, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female victim dead at the scene. California Highway Patrol officers have not yet released her identity.
