35-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Broderick Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 18, 2024) – Friday morning, Jonathan Johnson was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Geary Boulevard.

Police officers responded to the scene around 7:01 p.m., near Broderick Street and Divisadero Street. 

According to the initial investigation, the driver of an eastbound Toyota SUV hit a man while heading towards downtown San Francisco. 

First responders rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. Officials later identified the deceased victim as 35-year-old Johnson. 

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and coopered with the San Francisco police. Those who witnessed the fatal pedestrian crash are asked to call the San Francisco Police Department at (415)-575-4444.
