58-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Yockey Street
WESTMINSTER, CA (November 18, 2024) – Monday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Westminster Boulevard took the life of Hoang Xuan Tran.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:20 p.m., in the area of Westminster Boulevard and Yockey Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim lying in the eastbound lanes of the roadway.
Despite life-saving efforts, the Orange County Fire Authority paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators say a newer model, dark-colored sedan struck the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was last seen traveling eastbound on Westminster Boulevard.
The Orange County Coroner’s Department later identified the deceased pedestrian as 58-year-old Tran.
Police are asking those with additional information about the hit-and-run to contact the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 815-TIP-OCCS.
