70-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Dump-Truck vs Pedestrian Collision near Stanyan Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 13, 2024) – Tuesday morning, one man was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident on Parnassus Avenue.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:44 p.m., near Stanyan Street and the University of California San Francisco Parnassus Campus.
According to reports, the driver of a white dump-truck struck a pedestrian who was walking in a south direction. Investigators say there was a green light and the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials only described the deceased pedestrian as a 70-year-old man. His name remains undisclosed to the public.
Moreover, the driver of the dump-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
