One Killed, One Injured in Police-Pursuit Collision near Artesia Freeway
ANAHEIM, CA (November 13, 2024) – Friday, a passenger died and a driver was hurt in a solo-vehicle pursuit crash on State College Boulevard.
Around 12:15 a.m., Anaheim Police Department officers tried to pull over a white Ford Ranger along the 91 Freeway.
The suspect then exited the freeway at 1219 North State College Road and lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, the Ford Ranger crashed into a tree near the Arbor Park apartment community.
Paramedics transported the driver trapped inside the pickup-truck to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced their passenger dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public. Anaheim officials closed the southbound lanes of roadway to conduct further investigation.
