18-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Solo-Vehicle Collision near Danbury Park

ANTELOPE, CA (November 13, 2024) – One man was killed and another man was arrested Monday night, after a DUI crash on Walerga Road. 

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 6:35 p.m., near Danbury Park after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to police, the driver of a white BMW sedan switched lanes after approaching a slight curve on the road. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and collided with a light pole.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the 18-year-old male passenger dead, due to the extent of his condition.

Following preliminary duties, investigators determined that intoxication played a factor in the collision. California Highway Patrol officers arrested the 18-year-old male driver of the BMW for suspected felony DUI. 

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. At this time, Antelope Officials continue to investigate the deadly single-vehicle DUI crash on Walerga Road.
