One Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident near Chapel Hill High School

SMITH COUNTY, TX (November 13, 2024) – Late Friday afternoon, one victim was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 64.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 4:18 p.m., near Chapel Hill High School on October 11th.

For reasons under investigation, two vehicles collided in the area, ejecting one driver from their vehicle onto the road. As a result, the driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the severely injured victim dead at the scene. Police officers have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Troopers blocked the highway from CR 220 to CR 289 while they cleared the wreck. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the fatal two-vehicle crash on State Highway 64 is still currently underway.
