1 Killed, 2 Hurt in Head-On Accident on 55th Street East [Lancaster, CA]
1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized after Head-On Collision near East Avenue J
LANCASTER, CA (November 13, 2024) – Saturday morning, one victim was killed and two were hurt in a head-on accident on 55th Street East.
Firefighters arrived to the scene around 6:15 a.m., in the area of 55th Street East and East Avenue J on October 12th.
Investigators say a BMW was heading west on Avenue J, and suddenly swerved into oncoming traffic.
As a result, and hit a Ford that was heading east.
Emergency crews quickly extricated one trapped person from inside the wreckage. Paramedics transported a total of three victims to a nearby hospital, where one person succumbed to their injuries.
Medics say the other two victims were suffering from moderate injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
It has not yet been determined if alcohol, drugs, or speed were factors. At this time, officials are in the process of investigating the deadly head-on accident on 55th Street East.
