Woman Fatally Injured in Multi-Car Collision on Hills Valley Road [Fresno, CA]
22-Year-Old Woman Dead, Two Men Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Accident near Manning Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 12, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one woman was fatally injured in a multi-car collision on Hills Valley Road.
Just before 5:00 a.m., dispatchers received calls near Manning Avenue on October 16th.
Reports indicate that the driver of southbound GMC Sierra swerved in attempt to avoid a Toyota that was passing other vehicles while heading north. This maneuver caused the two vehicles to collide.
The GMC then turned sideways on the road where it was hit by a third car, driven by a 44-year-old man.
Despite life-saving efforts, the 22-year-old woman driving the Toyota succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
Meanwhile, emergency responders rushed the two men from the other vehicles to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. Authorities are examining the crash and will update the public with any new information as the investigation progresses.
