87-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near East San Fernando Street
SAN JOSE, CA (November 12, 2024) – Tuesday evening, a pedestrian collision on South 5th Street claimed the life of Sengqin Luo.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., near East San Fernando Street.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of an eastbound 2018 Nissan Sentra struck a woman who was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk.
Responding EMTs transported the female victim to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Sentra remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with the investigation.
On Friday, the female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries. The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased woman as 87-year-old Luo, of San Jose.
