Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on Streeter Avenue [Riverside, CA]
One Dead after Car Vs. Bicycle Collision near Lantana Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (November 7, 2024) – Saturday evening, one bicyclist was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision on Streeter Avenue.
Emergency crews arrived to the scene around 7:55 p.m., just north of Lantana Street shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle struck a cyclist in the area and immediately fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.
Upon arrival, first responders located the bicyclist in the roadway suffering from serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
At this time, the Riverside Police Department is working to provide additional information about the driver who fled the scene.
