3-Year-Old Child Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Colleen Terrace

FREMONT, CA (November 6, 2024) – Late Monday morning, a pedestrian accident on Dunsmuir Common claimed the life of Nivisha Yathaluru.

Police officers responded to the scene around 11:45 a.m., near Colleen Terrace.  

Based on the initial investigation, a 3-year-old child walked directly in front of a vehicle that was pulling out of a parking stall. 

Despite life-saving efforts, first responders pronounced the 3-year-old child dead at the scene. 

Authorities said the driver immediately pulled over and cooperated with the investigation. Fremont Officials do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the incident. 

On Wednesday, the coroner’s bureau identified the deceased juvenile victim as 3-year-old Yathaluru, of Fremont.
