50-Year-Old College Professor Fatally Struck by Garbage-Truck near Traditions Apartment Complex
COLLEGE STATION, TX (November 6, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Dr. Hilaire Kallendorf died in a pedestrian accident on Atlas Pear Drive.
First responders arrived to the Traditions apartment complex at the 8175 block of Atlas Pear Drive on October 15th.
According to the College Station Police Department, a garbage truck struck 50-year-old Dr. Kallendorf near the City of College Station area. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Dr. Kallendorf died at the scene.
Meanwhile, troopers cleared the scene and halted garbage collection for a day. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities will release additional information once available.
Authorities say that Dr. Kallendorf used to teach at Texas A&M University Professor of Hispanic and Religious Studies.
