Several Students Hurt in School-Bus Accident near El Katrina Lane

STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (November 6, 2024) – Tuesday morning, 17 students and 2 adults were hurt in a school-bus crash on Crows Landing Road.

Dispatchers received calls around 6:50 a.m., near El Katrina Lane.

According to reports, the driver of a semi-truck hauling a trailer failed to stop on time and consequently rear-ended a Honda sedan before striking a school bus with flashing red lights ahead.

Investigators say the school bus had its stop sign out at the time. However, the truck driver failed to notice the vehicles ahead slowing down.

Responding paramedics said at least seventeen elementary students from inside the bus sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the Honda and semi-driver were rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the Crows Landing Road multi-vehicle crash.
