25-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Downey Avenue

BELLFLOWER, CA (November 4, 2024) – Late Sunday evening, Loren Carroll was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on 91 Freeway.

Around 11:00 p.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Downey Avenue.  

Investigators say the driver of an unidentified vehicle struck a woman who was changing her tire while facing the highway.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Responding EMTs pronounced the female victim dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the deceased victim as 25-year-old Carroll.

At this time, police officers have not released any information about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. 

Bellflower Officials are encouraging anyone who witnessed the fatal hit-and-run to contact the CHP as soon as possible.
