Christopher Rhinehart Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on 23rd Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
38-Year-Old Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision on Northern Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (November 1, 2024) – Saturday morning, Christopher Rhinehart was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on 23rd Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 2:00 a.m., near Northern Avenue on October 13th.
Investigators say Rhinehart was walking and rolling around the roadway while on FaceTime with his brother. There, the driver of a passing vehicle struck him and immediately fled the scene.
Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported 38-year-old Rhinehart to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Following preliminary duties, police officers located Rhinehart. However, no charges were filed against him.
Authorities released no other information, and the crash remains under investigation.
