Jerry Hocking and Passenger Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on State Highway 6 [Marlin, TX]
39-Year-Old Driver and Passenger Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Collision near CR-2885
MARLIN, TX (October 31, 2024) – Thursday evening, Jerry Hocking and his passenger were killed in a wrong-way crash on State Highway 6.
Just before 8:00 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near CR-2885 on October 17th.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Cadillac CTS drove in the wrong direction while traveling northbound.
The Cadillac then collided with a Chevrolet Spark driven by 39-year-old Hocking with a passenger.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Hocking and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac sustained minor injuries, and paramedics transported him to Baylor Scott and White.
At this time, the authorities have not released additional information about the crash, and an active investigation is currently ongoing.
