911 Dispatcher and One Other Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Bloomfield Avenue 

GILROY, CA (October 30, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a head-on crash on Highway 25 near Gilroy killed Priscilla Jones and Erick Andrade

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 12:33 a.m., near Bloomfield Avenue. 

Upon arrival, police officers learned that a 2018 Nissan Sentra crossed the double yellow lines into the opposing lanes. There, the Sentra driver collided head-on with a 2012 Dodge Charger traveling in the opposite direction. 

Responding emergency personnel declared the two drivers dead at the scene. 

Later, the coroner’s office identified the Nissan driver as 24-year-old Erick Andrade of Gilroy. The Dodge driver was also identified as 35-year-old Priscilla Jones of Hollister. 

According to reports, Jones was a 911 emergency dispatcher and was on her way to work when the crash happened. 

Gilroy Officials closed the area on Highway 25 for at least five hours to conduct an investigation. Once available, further details will be provided.
