Driver Killed in Rear-End Semi-Truck Crash on Menifee Road [Menifee, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig vs Pickup-Truck Collision near Highway 74
MENIFEE, CA (October 21, 2024) – Wednesday night, one driver was killed in a rear-end semi-truck crash on Menifee Road.
Police officers responded to the scene shortly before 10:00 p.m., near Highway 74.
According to spokesman Chase Coburn of the Menifee PD, the driver of an eastbound pickup collided with the back of a semi-truck. However, further circumstances that led up to the crash remain under investigation.
Responding Riverside County Fire Department paramedics transported the pickup driver to a regional trauma center. Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased.
Authorities said the driver of the big rig did not sustain injuries from the crash. Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol as a cause of the incident.
